Love is all

The story behind the art

A piece about resilience and finding a community. This piece celebrates the loving care of my friends and lovers, those who walked with me, and those who are still walking with me. They were and are my backbone, my pillars, my vitamins. They saw me bloom, they saw me wither, and they saw me bloom again. ⁠
There are no words to express all the love I've felt and still feel and, just by giving it a thought, I feel wrapped up by the softest blanket. There's an eternity of love stacked up in my bones. ⁠
Winter is for me a place to experiment, to try new things with an open mind and heart. Exploring chaos from a good place is dramatically different than from a bad place. It feels like playing rather than exorcising. I'm truly grateful to be where I am, to see all I've overcome. This gives me the strength needed when I face the heights still left to climb. One step at a time. With patience.⁠

Love is all has been on display in the 2022 Global Gala Gallery for the Charter of Compassion.
